November 19, 2002 @ 02:43am....The Saddest Day Of My Life....

Amanda passed away on November 19, 2002 at 02:43am at Atlanta
Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She had been Life-Flighted on October
09, 2002 due to an Automobile Accident where she lost control around a
curve, hit a large boulder, went airborn 10 feet up into the air, and then hit
a tree....The cause of death, after being on Life Support for 5 weeks and spending almost a week in Rehabilitation, was "Cardiopulmonary Arrest
with Multiple Blunt Force Trauma due to MVA"....She had 3 emergency
surgeries, lost a kidney, broke her back in 2 places, broke her right and
left arms, had 2 bowel leaks causing fevers of 105 degrees, facial
lacerations to her nose, head injury, (requiring staples), 2 chest tubes
placed, Pneumonia due to being confined to the ICU bed with no
movement, etc., etc., etc.....After 5 weeks on Life Support, she had
REMARKABLY recovered and was actually playing Bingo and won a
Candle!! She was due to come home, in a wheelchair, for a weekend visit
from the Hospital to try to improve her Mental
Status. She passed away, in the middle of the night, before she was to come home for that visit....
The Doctors were so at a loss for WHY she passed!! Even with all her
injuries!! She was doing soooo well that they actually ordered an
Autopsy....It showed nothing....

God called Amanda Home....

Hug EVERYONE, EVERYDAY and tell them that you LOVE them DEARLY!!! No matter what!! "Tomorrow is NOT promised to us!!"

The Picture of the 2007 Cadillac Escalade is Amanda's "Dream Car"....
I'm sure she's driving one, or maybe even two by now....{smile}

God Bless You
